McNeil Children’s Medicine Recall
McNeil has issued a voluntary recall on many of their children’s medicines including Children’s and Infants’ Tylenol, Children’s and Infants’ Motrin, Children’s Zyrtec, and Children’s Benadryl. You can see the complete list of affected medicines HERE.
If you have any of these products you can enter your information to get a product coupon or refund. If you have more than 6 products, you can submit a second form.
Be sure and read the FAQs for information on how to dispose of the medicine, why the product was recalled, and more.
I found 5 bottles in my medicine closet! With all the great deals on children’s medicines lately I’m sure many of you are affected by this recall, so be sure and check your cabinets!

As an FYI — I submitted nine bottles and requested coupons. I received them last week. I got (1) save up to $13; (2) save up to $10 and (6) save up to $9. I then took my bottles (even the opened ones) to Wal-Mart where the customer service rep gave me a refund of $60 IN CASH! She said it doesn’t matter where the items were purchased. If the lot numbers match the recalled items, it is Wal-Mart’s policy to issue a refund for the value the items were sold at Wal-Mart stores. I’ll be saving my coupons for a CVS or Wags money maker when the products become available, as they don’t expire until 2012.

Yes, the store brands are still safe. They are made by a different company.

Are store brands like Walmart’s Equate brand or Walgreens brand still safe? I have a 9 month old suffering through teething right now and Tylenol is the only thing that helps…
