I actually got a free movie last December on my birthday.  Turns out I’m not as special as I thought (lol), because this offer is available to all members.  I was only charged for the $2.95 shipping and did not find any surprise charges, did not have to participate in any offers, or jump through any hoops.  It was very easy and my movie arrived pretty quickly!  I have it stashed away for my kids for a Christmas gift.
