  1. The easiest way to remember is count your products then count your coupons plus RR, if you have 5 items and 7 pieces of paper then p/u 2 filler items so you have 7 items and 7 pieces of paper!!

  2. Some of the best ways to make up for not having enough products is to purchase the inexpensive school supplies. They are generally around $.10 to $0.25 and you can donate them to a school in need or use them for your own children.

  3. So I can say that I have never tried to get a raincheck but I can shed a little light onto the Register Rewards. They treat them like “manufacture coupons” and after a little frustration we spent some time reading the fine print on the coupon. The trick is that if you are going to use them in a transaction you can not have more coupons then items. It can not be “stacked” with another MANUFACTURE coupon. I hope that makes sense. Read it carefully and it just takes a little more planning on my part to be able to use them.

    • I had the same problem yesterday. They told me that I was not allowed to have more coupons than items, but you can get any item that you would like to make up the difference. For example, I had 4 register rewards too many so I bought 4 skinny cows candy (which here in Dallas they’re 4 for $1) which after coupons and RR I spent $1.73 only $1 more than I would have spent anyways.

  4. When I go into Walgreens, they never have anything left that was in the ad so they always give me rainchecks (have some in my purse even!). They just find the sku and the manager has to write them out. As with the flier underline the date and shove it in her face! Lol, jk…kinda! The cashier can’t argue with the date printed on the ad, it’s not like you made one up at home. And I always use coupons and RR. Some RR are for specific items though, so just double check. I really think you just got a bad cashier. Don’t hesitate to ask for the manager or find another person working to ask. I do know that there have been different reports about Walgreens and these issues. Just saying how my Walreens is (I’m in Nebraska). GOOD LUCK and don’t let them stop you from your savings!

  5. hi a few questions regarding walgreens….
recent trip left me with a bad taste in my mouth from shopping here…. would not issue rainchecks for sale items in circular? is that a normal policy? Would not honor snickers bag candy 2/5 even tho in circular, was told that was last weeks flier?!?!? (even tho I checked and it was not), in the past I have purchased items using coupons as well as register rewards but was not allowed to this time?!?! Was i just lucky in getting a poorly trained cashier in the past or is this policy? I could not find answers on walgreens websute…
    thanks for all the help!
