10 Cheap Things to Eat at Disneyland
Just hearing the phrase “I’m going to Disneyland” can make even the most stoic adults feel like little kids again. But it can be tough to do Disney on a budget. With so many tasty treats, you might be tempted to eat your way through the parks. Without some self-restraint and careful planning, your dining expenses could easily balloon out of control. Luckily, there are some delightfully affordable eats in Disneyland if you know where to look for them. While they may be pricier than similar treats outside of the parks, they are very affordable by Disneyland standards. Here are 10 of our favorite cheap Disneyland eats!
Dole Whip
This refreshing dairy-free soft serve is a beloved treat in Disney parks. You can find the traditional pineapple Dole Whip at the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland. There’s almost always a line, but it moves quickly and the frosty dessert is perfect to enjoy while waiting in line for nearby rides like Indiana Jones or the Jungle Cruise!
Mickey Pretzels
Like Dole Whip, Mickey Pretzels are another affordable treat with a dedicated fanbase. You can find Mickey pretzels at multiple locations, so they are also super convenient to grab and go on your way to a ride.
Popcorn
Popcorn is a convenient and affordable treat that’s easy to enjoy as you stroll through the parks. If you want to try something other than the standard butter flavor, check out the Cozy Cone Motel at Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park, which features unique flavors like dill pickle and buffalo ranch.
Fruit
If you want a light, healthy treat, watch for fruit carts throughout the parks. You can find things like apples, bananas, oranges, and even large dill pickles! Not only is this option healthy and affordable, it’s easy to eat on the go.
Kids’ Meals
Quick service restaurant locations generally have Mickey Check kids’ meals, which are designed to meet nutritional guidelines. These meals are usually quite a bit cheaper than adult meals and include multiple items, like an entree, fruit, and a drink. These meals are not only affordable, but they’re also a convenient way to make sure your child gets a balanced meal in the parks.
Hot Dogs
Hot dogs tend to be one of the more affordable meals at Disneyland. They’re sold at multiple locations and frequently come with a side item. If you need an inexpensive meal to fuel your park day, hot dogs may be a good option. Swing by Award Wieners or Angry Dogs at Disney’s California Adventure!
Pizza
Pizza can be a satisfying meal, and it costs less than a lot of meals at Disneyland. Plus, if you have a family to feed, you can purchase a whole pizza at some locations.
Turkey Legs
Another unique Disneyland classic, these turkey legs are HUGE and could probably feed 2-3 people (as long as you don’t mind sharing!). They can be found at carts around the park, sold alongside another cheap eat, chimichangas.
Ice Cream
Frozen treats are always popular in theme parks, and even more so when you’re in sunny Southern California, which is warm nearly all year long. Check out the massive deluxe ice cream cones sold at various old-fashioned dessert shops all along Main Street.
Churros
The classic carnival snack is reimagined at Disneyland! With more than 10 dedicated churro carts around the resort, you won’t have to look too hard for this sweet treat. Try interesting Disney-inspired flavors like Caramel and Coconut, Santa’s Cookies and Milk, and Sugar Plum Candy!
