Amanda

Can you do all these as 1 transaction and get all the ECB applied to your card or do you have to do them all as seperate transactions to get the credit?
Curtis
@Jackie,
Yes, you can do all the purchases in one transaction. The ECBs are printed at the bottom of your receipt. Just clip them off the receipt and put them in your purse/wallet. The ECBs expire after 3 weeks or so, so just make sure you use your ‘CVS money’ before they expire. You use them just like a coupon, hand them to the cashier after all of your other coupons and they will deduct the amount off the purchase.
Some folks will divide their purchase into 2-3 transactions that way they can use some of the ECBs from the 1st transation to help pay for the items in the 2nd transaction.
Jessica
The 5 count ZYRTEC is not a trial size. Target had them on sale a couple weeks ago and used a coupons for it and didn’t have a problem. I am going to CVS today, and will let you know if I have an issue.
Amanda
is the zyrtec deal for the 5 count add shows 30 count?
Amanda
can you do more than one ecb deal at a time for example can i do the john frieda deal and the razor deal in on purchase?
David P
Has anyone actually used the $2/1 zyrtec coupon yet to confirm that the 5ct is not a trial size?
Amanda
@David P,
It says on the $5 coupon on any (1) zyrtec 5ct
Patti C
There is also a 5.00 coupon on the zyrtec website that CVS will take on the Zyrtec . which means it costs you .99 making 5.00 profit
Jack
Thanks for all the great answers – makes sense. Now for my next question: If you use EBs to pay for something and that item has EBs coming back with it — do you get the new EBs — example say I bought the Zyrtec and a couple other items and paid for them with a 10.00EB – would I still get the 5.99eb for the Zyrtec?? Thanks in advance – this is a learning experience with me but a fun one so far.
Tina W.
@Jack, Yes, you should. I do it all the time with my EBs, and I’ve never had a problem.
Sarah Mandreger
@Jack, Yep! You’d get the additional EB too. They would print at the bottom of your receipt for use on your next transaction! 🙂
Krystina
FYI the Motrin PM deal is limit 3 per household, not limit 1 🙂
Many thanks for a great blog!
Tim
@ Jack
The price minus the coupon is what you will pay at the register. So before tax that is $3.99. You will earn reward $ in the original amount of the item. So for your next purchase you would have a $5.99 balance on your CVS card. That difference is how the $2 profit was determined.
Megan
Zyrtec 24-hr. Tablets 5-ct. $5.99, Earn $5.99 in ECBs (Limit 1)
– $2/1 Zyrtec Printable Coupon*
= Free + $2 Profit
Jack, you pay $3.99 up front ($5.99 minus the $2 coupon) and get $5.99 in Extra Bucks (attached to your receipt, it’s store cash that is good in the store only) that you can use on another transaction. My CVS allows me to do 3 separate transactions in any one visit.
So for example, if on your second transaction you buy the Pampers at $8.99, it should only cost you $1.50 because you would use your Extra Care Bucks of $5.99 you just earned on the first transaction and use your $1.50 coupon from 6/5 PG = $1.50 and you get $1 with that receipt in ECB’s…….
Pampers Diapers $8.99, Earn $1 in ECBs (Limit 1)
– $1.50/1 Pampers Diapers or Pants Coupon (6/5 P&G)
= $6.49
Jack
On the Zyrtec deal you list they are free + 2.00 profit….how does the 2.00 profit work?? Does it go towards other items being bought?? Is it cashback (which I doubt) … please explain how this works… thanks Jack
ps Im obviously new at this.
Sherri
@Jack,
It’s a moneymaker (profit) because you’re paying $3.99, but get a $5.99 Extra Care Bucks (so it’s like making $2.00).
Nick
@Jack, first you have to have a CVS card. The cashier will probably try to sign you up for one anyway. Then you buy the Zyrtec, use your coupon so it’s only $3.99. At the bottom of your receipt will be a coupon for $5.99 off your next order. If you haven’t already you should check out CVS 101, which will explain how Extrabucks work. https://www.couponing101.com/2008/10/cvs-101.html
Sherri
The Motrin deal is Limit 3 (not 1).
Sherri
For the Zyrtec, there is also a 3-count that is sold, which I would assume is the trial size.
