  1. I went to my CVS and was told that the $10 ECB only applies to the Schick razors and not shave gel or anything else. It is deceiving because it says in the ad that if you spend$20 on ANY schick products then you get the reward but I am running into problems every CVS I go to. Does the Skintimate really count toward the ECB? I am only like 1.50 away from getting the ECB so I didn’t want to buy another razor!!

  2. According to my CVS, I was able to use the $1.50 off Skintimate Shaving Cream on ONE standard Skintimate product because there was one that said “Cream” on it. The manager approved this. It was the SkinTherapy Cream for Sensitive Skin.

Ask your local manager if you can do this.

  3. Went to about 7 differet CVS’s today. All out of the Skintimate Shaving Cream. I went even after they received their trucks, because I called and asked. One of the Managers refused the online printable $1.50 off. I went up there to ask him about the product and showed him the coupon. He said, he didn’t know where these coupons were coming from and they would no honor them. However, I went to another CVS and they had 2 left of the shaving cream and I was able to use the $1.50 off.

  4. Brainstrong has a high value ECB of $10 if you spend $15. They also offer a coupon on their website brainstrongdha.com for $3 off any purchase which would make a $15 product come to $2 after $10ECB.

  5. my local cvs swore up and down that “one coupon per purchase” means that I can only use one SmartSource coupon even if I get 2 cream shave cans… I’m relatively new, but based on the “Scenario” it seems this is wrong. Could you please confirm? Thank you!!

    • Whoever told you that at your CVS was DEAD WRONG.. one coupon per purchase means one coupon PER ITEM purchased.. meaning if you buy 4 items and have 4 coupons then you can use them. I would check with the CVS coupon policy to see how many coupons they limit per item though cause I tried to use 5 coupons for 5 items and the register would only let me do 4. That was on the same item not on different items because I used another 4 on 4 more items. 🙂 Hope that helps

  6. Deal on M&Ms…..I had a couple coupons for $1.25 off any three (3) packs of M&Ms and this week the Mars candies are buy 2, get 1 free. It worked out to about $1 total for all three “Sharing Size” packages!

    • At walgreens they are .49 each……….. $1.47 for three….. minus 1.25 coupon = .22 or seven cents a pack. Limit 6

  7. Anyone having problems using smartsource coupons at CVS or any other stores in Philadelphia? I tried using the $1.50 off Skintimate Cream Shave and was told by the manager that they are no longer excepting any coupons powered by smartsource due to them being counterfeit. Mine aren’t, at least not that I know of. I ended not buying the shaving cream but I kept the coupons.

    • If cvs won’t accept then you still get a pretty good deal at target the 2 oz travel size is only 1.47$. I got 16 of those for free and they accept my (16)1.50$ coupons. No 10$ ECBS but its free!:)

    • Ours has limits on some stuff too but not on everything. So people wipe off the shelves. It sucks cause Ive been seeing people resell the razors on ebay!! 🙁

      Reply

      • My coupon did not work at CVS either so I ended up paying the full sale price. Unfortunately the clerks at the 2 CVS stores in my area are so rude that I did not bother to ask why?

  8. CVS WAS sold out of razors, cookies, shaving cream, contact solution, & pepsi’s in my area since 7:30 am. Apparently people are taking advantage so the manager said they are thinking of putting limits on everything.

    Reply

    • My cvs ( pennsylvania ) you need to use your extra care card and all the sales have limit of one……sometimes two.

      Reply

    • All the deals do have limits – 1-2 per household. Unfortunately many people attempt to get around these limits by using multiple extracare cards and the stores do nothing to stop them. 🙁

  9. I was thrilled with my CVS purchase today. I went first thing in the morning and they had everything in stock that I wanted. I ended up getting $80 worth of products for only $26. It was my first time doing multi transactions and using the ECB from one purchase for the next transaction, and it was worth it.

  10. Man I really wish our town had a CVS. I’m almost tempted to drive the 45mins to the nearest one. I really would if my bronco wasn’t such a gas hog. My savings would be spent in gas unfortunately. They certainly have better deals than walgreens. I was really tempted after seeing the $5.00 challenge but guess i’m scared if I drive all that way and they be out of stock on some of it and would have end up gettin a rain check it definately wouldn’t be worth 2 trips. Happy Savings to all 😀

  11. A heads up for CVS fans–and apologies if everyone else already knew this. In Southern California at least, things have changed if you use a percentage off store coupon plus ECBs. Even if you hand your percentage off coupon to the cashier first, the computer waits until after your ECBs are used, then recalculates your percentage off based on the final price. Today I watched a 25% off store coupon I received in an e-mail register as $4.00 off my total, then get automatically voided and re-calculated as $2.00 off my total when the cashier rang up my ECBs. I shouldn’t make such a fuss over two dollars, but I was frustrated. Has anybody else run into this?

    Reply

    • Are you sure it wasn’t because the 25% off was for “sale” items only? And maybe the register re-calculated after the cashier hit the final “total”??

      Reply

      • Hey Veronica!

The coupon was 25% excluding sale items. I wasn’t buying sale items, so I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the issue. The register re-calculated the percentage after I handed over my ECBs, yes, but I’m fairly certain that I’ve used percentage off coupons and ECBs without this happening in the past. I always hand over the percentage off coupon first to maximize the amount saved, so it was frustrating to watch the register re-calculate. Just hoping to save other folks the trouble!

        Reply

    • Yes! I noticed that today too! I gave them the 25% off coupon first and then the rest of my coupons and it kept showing the 25% line item void for the previous amount and a new amount show up. I never calculated it, but when I saw your post, I went back and did a manual calculation. In the end I only saved $3.40 as opposed to $6.21. Thanks for saying something I thought I was just imagining things!

  12. I have such a love/hate relationship with this site. I appreciate the breakdown of deals, but hate that it is advertised about $$ Makers. I would love to get some of the deals listed, but it’s stated that it’s a money maker it’s gone before I could ever even think about getting to the store.

    Reply

    • @cain, the stores will give you a raincheck if they are sold out of the products, so you can still get the great deals!

      Reply

      • I only hope that they have the razors in stock, these past 2-3 weeks my CVS stores razors have been empty and the $4/1 Schick Hydro Razor Coupon (6/12 SS) *expires 7/24! today!!!!!

        Reply

        • I went to my CVS around 12:00 noon today – the first day of the sale – and got the last two razor packs they had!

I’m lucky that I have a rite aid and cvs literally two minutes from my house – the walgreens is another three minutes down the road. I really have to remember to go out sunday morning and hit all three.

          Reply

        • I do believe that if you have raincheck for an item and you got it before the coupon expires, then if they still dont have it when the coupon date does expire..they will take the expired coupon when they finally do get the product in (at cvs)…

    (2) Schick Hydro 3 or 5 Razor $7.99 ea.
    (2) Skintimate Cream Shave $2.19 ea.
    – (2) $4/1 Schick Razor

  14. ALWAYS swipe your card TWICE at the kiosk that prints out coupons! You can do it twice in a row, and usually get different coupons. One day I was lucky and got 2 $4 off $20!

    Reply

  15. I am new to this, so can someone please clarify something for me? If you have to buy $20 in something to get $10 extra care bucks back, is that $20 before or after coupons? Thanks!
