Do you know if the limit of 2 on the Lysol/AirWick deal can be used in one transaction? I have a $4.00 off $20.00 that I want to use. I was hoping to use Brandy’s scenario but double it to:
(8) Aqua Mist $20.00
(4) B1G1 -$10.00
(4) $1/1 -$4.00
-$4 off $20
Pay $2 oop and get $10 back!
stan
@Laura,
Laura, you can do the 8 aqua mist in one deal, you will get a $10 ecb
(that’s how it worked for me), however my store didn’t take the $1/1 q’s, they beeped and the cashier wouldn’t put them thru. I tried it both ways, using the b1g1 q’s, then the 1/1 q’s & then tried using the 1/1 q’s first, then the b1g1, and had the same problem. The asst mgr who checked me out said the b1g1 was attaching itself to both items and that’s why I couldn’t use all 8 q’s. I said OK since I was getting them free after ecb’s. I kinda suspect the stores in the Houston area have reprogrammed their registers to not allow a b1g1 + $/$ anymore.
Stephanie
@stan, Interesting! I’d be curious to know if anyone else has noticed the registers rejecting coupon stacking.
Stephanie
@Laura, Yes, you can do them in the same transaction but you will earn one $10 ECB, not two $5 ECBs, so plan your scenario accordingly (this has messed me up quite a few times, lol).
Laura
@Stephanie,
I went to CVS today. This was my scenario to use a $4/$20 and a $9.99 ECB:
(8) Aqua Mist $20.00
(4) B1G1 -$10.00
(4) $1/1 -$4.00
Spend $6.00, get $10.00 ECB
(2) Tylenol Precise $11.98
(2) $2/1 CVS Coupon- $4.00
(1) $5/2 Manufacturer Coupon- $5.00
Spend $2.98, get $2.00 ECB
(1) Purex $3.99
Spend $3.99, get $2.00 ECB
(2) Total Whole Grain Cereal $3.76
(1) $1/2 – $1.00
To get my total to equal $9.99.
-$4 off $20
After coupons and ECBs, I paid $1.74 plus tax. I used a $9.99 ECB and got $14.00 back. Thanks for pointing out that the AirWick would print out as a $10. I wasn’t thinking about that!
Everything worked fine for the BOGO AirWick coupons which were scanned first. However, the $1.00/1 coupons gave the cashier problems. I don’t know exactly what was happening because he didn’t say anything but the cashier pushed them through. It seemed like the register was rejecting them. I had 4 so I was nervous that I’d get a fraud lecture or something but he didn’t say anything!
Stephanie
@Laura, Sounds like you got some great deals!!!
Carla
Brandy, your scenario with the aqua mist deal should work.
Brandy
On the lysol/air wick deal, could you do this senerio?
(4) Aqua Mist $10.00
(2) B1G1 -$5.00
(2) $1/1 -$2.00
Pay $3 oop and get $5 back
Wondering if this would work…Thanks!
Stephanie
@Brandy, It could work, but I encourage you to read this post here: https://www.couponing101.com/2010/05/stacking-b1g1-coupons-and-11-coupons.html
Laura
I think the Skintamate is a Limit of 1. I bought 1 today and it said my offer limit was reached. It could be regional…I’m in the Boston area.
Stephanie
@Laura, You are right, it is limit 1. Not sure why I typed 2!
