Rachel – Oh no! I hate it when foods get ruined with bad experiences like that! Cheryl – YUM!

Oatmeal makes me sleepy – so it doesn’t work for breakfast. But sometimes I’ll eat it before bed. My duck and bunny also adore oatmeal. It’s a treat!

Yummy! I love oatmeal!!! However, I had a bad batch of oatmeal (wheat beetle bug infested) about 2 weeks ago. I am now scared to touch it 🙁

I make chocolate oatmeal for my boys and they love it. I just follow the directions on the box, sweeten with honey or brown sugar and add a tiny bit of cocoa powder before I add the oatmeal. It’s a huge hit.

My kids LOVE chocolate oatmeal. I just follow the directions on the box, sweeten with honey and/or brown sugar and then put some cocoa powder in the pot before adding the oatmeal. If I have any, sometimes I’ll sprinkle a few mint chocolate chips on top for something special.

Brilliant! I often stir PB2 peanut butter powder into mine, I’d never thought of cocoa powder! Guess what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow? Lol

We’re learning to eat more oatmeal here too, Costco sells a 10lb box for $8. My personal favoorite ways to eat oatmeal is nobake and monster cookies 😉 Here’s a new recipe we tried recently that was really good:

I made it with just peaches since I didn’t have blueberries but Costcos prices on Organic frozen peaches and blueberries are hard to beat in the winter time when fruit is more expensive.
I also recently learned how to make oatmeal in the microwave so it doesn’t turn to glue! In a glass serving bowl mix 1/3 cup raisins or cranberries, 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1 cup water. Microwave for 5 minutes without stirring **on 50% power**. Stir and sweeten to taste.
