Daily Frugal Tip: Price Match at Walmart
Today’s tip is for you if you prefer to do all of your shopping at one store, save on time, and reap the benefits of shopping at many stores! Try your hand at price matching at Walmart. It’s as simple as this: Walmart will match the price of items in competitor’s ads. Take the full ad into Walmart with you, show the cashier the item, get the discount, use your normal coupons, and save money!
This definitely isn’t for everybody, but it’s a great tip for those of you who love shopping at Walmart or don’t have time to shop at multiple stores.
Thanks for the reminder, Money Saving Mom!

No need to take your ads in! I do it EVERY week without the ad! It gets easier the more you do it!

I do all the time especially if the store I normally shop at is out of stock of that item & my coupon can’t be doubled at that store anyways. 🙂 If it is a coupon I can get doubled, then normally I just get a rain check at my normal store & wait for it to be re-stocked instead of price matching at Walmart.

I love price matching, and we do it all the time. Becky is right – finding a cashier who knows what he or she is doing is key! Otherwise it can make for a very long checkout!

I do price match, but I have had to have the ads a couple of times, because the cashier did not have a copy there.

I like to price match at Walmart and Target, it’s a tad easier at Walmart because you just tell the cashier and they adjust automatically, at Target you have to take your sales add and receipt to customer service.

Yes, I price match all the time. I just always make sure that I find a cashier who has been an employee for a while so I don’t have any trouble.
