This Saturday, September 28, 2019, is National Public Lands Day. That means that you can visit your favorite U.S. national park for free! This is a great way to spend a Saturday before the temperatures start to drop as we move further into fall and winter. Take advantage of the free admission and the nice weather one last time this year!
Established in 1994, this is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer effort for the environment. It celebrates the connection between people and the green space in their community and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits.
National Public Lands Day is organized annually by the National Environmental Education Foundation, in cooperation with Department of the Interior, Department of the Army, and Department of Agriculture.
