Summer is just around the corner. Are you looking for some fun ways to motivate your children to do a little bit of reading this Summer? Check out all these great FREE Summer Reading Programs! Your children can earn FREE books, prizes, cash, and more with these reading programs!
Barnes & Noble Imagination Destination – Through this Summer reading program, your children can keep track of their books in a reading log. Your children can earn a FREE book after reading 8 books.
Book Adventure – Sylvan offers this FREE reading incentive program. In this program, your children read books and then take a simple 10-question comprehension quiz to make sure they understood what they read. They earn points based on how much they remember from reading the book. The points can be traded in for prizes in their Prize Library.
Chuck E. Cheese – Your children can earn 10 FREE tokens every time the 2-week reading chart is filled out. Just fill out the form and bring it in to claim your free tokens.
Half Price Books – Kids ages 14 and under can earn a $5 gift card for reading just 15 minutes each day during June and July.
Local Public Library – Don’t forget to check out your local libraries to find out which programs they’ll be offering this Summer. They usually have great Summer Reading programs with FREE books & prizes!
National Amusements Theaters Bookworm Wednesdays – Your children can earn a FREE movie ticket from National Amusements Theaters when they read a book and complete a book report.
PBS Kids Summer Reading Challenge – Starting June 6th, this challenge is a FREE six week reading program and gives your children the chance to win daily prizes for their participation.
Pottery Barn Kids – Your little ones can attend FREE storytime on Tuesdays at 11 am. When you attend 5 storytimes, you get a FREE gift. (Just double check the time by calling ahead to your store.)
Scholastic Summer Challenge – Your children can log their reading minutes on the Scholastic site to participate in a World Record Challenge and earn digital prizes!
TD Bank Summer Reading Program – When your children read and keep track of 10 books this Summer, $10 will be added to their Young Saver Account for FREE!

The Barnes and Noble Summer Reading Program still says 2011, are they going to do it again this summer?
I would think they'll be doing it again. Maybe just called your local Barnes & Noble to find out. It may not have gone live on the website yet for 2012, since school isn't out quite yet.
