Free Summer Reading Programs for Kids!
Summer is finally here! Are you looking for some fun ways to motivate your children to do a little bit of reading this Summer? Check out all these great FREE Summer Reading Programs! Your children can earn FREE books, prizes, cash, and more with these reading programs!
American Girl Reading Program – American Girl stores will have special reading events throughout the summer where you can listen to a story, create a special bookmark, and more.
Barnes & Noble Imagination Destination – Through this Summer reading program, your children can keep track of their books in a reading log. Your children can earn a FREE book after reading 8 books.
Book Adventure – Sylvan offers this FREE reading incentive program. In this program, your children read books and then take a simple 10-question comprehension quiz to make sure they understood what they read. They earn points based on how much they remember from reading the book. The points can be traded in for prizes in their Prize Library.
Chuck E. Cheese – Your children can earn 10 FREE tokens every time the 2-week reading chart is filled out. Just fill out the form and bring it in to claim your free tokens.
Half Price Books – During the months of June and July, if a child reads or a young child is read to for 300 total minutes, they could win a $20 gift certificate.
H-E-Buddy – H-E-B Grocery Stores will send your kids a package of cool prizes after they read 10 books. You do not need to live near a H-E-B grocery store to take advantage of this. Just fill out the form and mail it in. The package arrives in 3-4 weeks.
Junie B. Jones – Sign up for the Junie B. Jones Reading Club for a FREE starter set including the first book in the series and a checklist bookmark.
Local Public Library – Don’t forget to check out your local libraries to find out which programs they’ll be offering this Summer. They usually have great Summer Reading programs with FREE books & prizes!
Pizza Hut Book-It Program – Kids can earn FREE personal pan pizzas for reading books! Homeschoolers can enroll as well.
Pottery Barn Kids – Receive a FREE gift when your child completes their reading challenge.
Scholastic Summer Challenge – Offers a chance for kids to log their reading times into their system to compete for the World Record!
Showcase Theatre Bookworm Wednesdays – Kids earn free admission to a movie just by reading and completing a short book report.
TD Bank Summer Reading Program – When your children read and keep track of 10 books this Summer, $10 will be added to their Young Saver Account for FREE!
