glad i'm not the only one that had a problem with his. Bummer.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER! We have accepted your subscription for Good Housekeeping and will bill you $7.97 for 12 issues. Your first issue will be delivered to in 4-6 weeks.
WHAT?! Thanks a lot
@Elizabeth, If you accidentally signed up, wait 24 hours then log in and cancel your subscription.
@Stephanie,
There's nowhere in the page it says that I was going to sign up at all! The company is running some shady business.
@Elizabeth, I'm sorry you had problems with this. Directly above the form you filled out, there is a box with a picture of a Good Housekeeping magazine. Directly above that box it says:
" Fill in the fields below to start a FREE trial subscription to Good Housekeeping and be automatically entered for your chance to win:"
Inside the box it says:
"If you like what you see, you'll get 11 more issues (12 in all) for just $7.97 — that's 81% less than others pay on the newsstand.* If not, return the bill marked "cancel" and keep the first issue with no obligation. You'll still be eligible to win the sweepstakes."
Then still inside the box, under that it says:
"No purchase is necessary to enter. If you'd prefer to enter the sweepstakes without starting a trial subscription to Good Housekeeping or if you are already a subscriber, click here."
As I described in the post, you needed to click there in order to avoid signing up.
Directly above the submit button it says:
"Continuous Service Guarantee: Your subscription will continue unless you ask us to stop. Each year you'll receive a reminder notice followed by an invoice for the low renewal rate then in effect. You can cancel at any time and receive a refund on all unmailed issues."
I don't think it was shady at all. You can cancel your subscription though without any trouble (wait 24 hours from the time you signed up): https://w1.buysub.com/pubs/HR/GHK/GHK_nameAddrEntry_combo.jsp?cds_page_id=41097&cds_mag_code=GHK&id=1309965450468&lsid=11871017304043330&vid=1
I couldn't find a place where you didn't get signed up for a magazine subscription either
Hoping I am entering to win!
I don't see a place to click where you don't have to buy
