Giveaway: 40 lbs of Chicken from Zaycon Foods (2 Winners!)

I want to share with you a great savings event that will be happening in DFW (readers who aren’t local, I have info for you too!). Zaycon Foods is a privately owned company based in the state of Washington. They sell fresh meats and other products directly to consumers at wholesale prices.

They had their very first event in Texas last month and I was able to get a sneak peek and try some of their chicken. I’m so impressed! Their chicken is 100% natural with no added hormones, additives, or artificial ingredients. The chicken comes fresh from the farm and is never frozen.

Zaycon Foods negotiates with farms to get the lowest price possible (usually $1.39 – $1.59). They then sell the meat directly to you by the 40 lb case. All you have to do is just register and pay online. On the day of the event, you drive to your pick-up location and pick up your case of meat! Easy!

You might be thinking that 40 pounds of chicken is a lot – I thought the same thing at first. However, once I got my case and started dividing it up, I started wishing that I had another case (yes, you can order as many cases as you want)! Each case comes with (4) 10 lb bags of chicken that are in a larger sealed bag, so if you can easily split it with another family if you prefer.

The chicken breasts are whole, so once you get your case, you will want to cut each breast in half and trim the fat. You can then freeze it in a variety of ways. Just a few ideas for freezing are – plain, soaked in a marinade, pre-cooked, or (my fave) homemade chicken nuggets!

The next Savings Events will be on Saturday, January 29^th and the pick-up locations are: Prosper, Plano, and Mesquite. They will be selling boneless, skinless chicken breast for only $1.49 per pound. That is an amazing price! In fact, I think that is the lowest price I’ve seen for fresh, hormone-free, boneless, skinless, chicken breast! There are only a limited number of cases available so you’ll want to reserve your case ASAP!
