As a long-time user of Hefty trash bags, I am always confident that my trash odor does not make it’s way out of the trash can.  However, I know some people are sensitive to scented products or simply don’t like the smell of scented trash bags.  Well, Hefty has created trash bags with Unscented Odor Block Technology to neutralize garbage odors without any overpowering scents!

I tried the New Unscented Hefty Trash Bags out to see how well they worked at masking garbage odor.  I have to admit – I did not notice a difference at all.  I think that is a good thing though because I never noticed a garbage smell before since I’ve always used Hefty bags!  I guess I’m so used to the regular trash bags that the scent never bothered me, so the unscented bags didn’t make a huge difference.  The important part for me though is that there was NO garbage smell.  There is nothing worse than smelling garbage while you’re cooking, or worse – eating!

    I would because we are renting an apartment in between buying houses and the dumpster is almost exactly half a mile away so we try to fill our trash bags to the top but they can get pretty bad and make the whole place smell sometimes before they are full.

    I would love to try these new Hefty Unscented Garbage Bags with Odor Block Technology! I have a condition called Chemical Sensitivity, so using scented products is always out of the question. So, if I can find a garbage bag that is unscented and that controls garbage odors, as well … that would be sooooo LOVELY! :+)

    I would like to try it because we have two animals, and when they throw up, we toss most of it in the trash (we use rags, so we wash those, but dump excess in the trash), so it’d be nice to not have to always take the trash out immediately.
