Museums aren’t just for family vacations and school field trips. A day at the museum can be a fun-filled, educational experience for the whole family, and chances are you’ve got great museums right in your town. However, the museum admission fees can add up when you’re bringing the whole family along. Luckily, we’ve got Museum Day coming up on April 4, during which dozens of museums across the country offer free admission!
This day of family fun and learning is all thanks to Smithsonian Magazine, the organization that makes this day possible. This year’s Museum Day is on Saturday, April 4, but you can actually sign up for tickets now. If you live in a big city or have a particularly popular museum you’d like to visit, you should definitely get your free admission tickets in advance.
Simply select the museum you plan to visit from the list and click “get a ticket.” Input your information to receive your ticket, which you can download and/or receive via email. You can get one ticket per email account. Some museums will require you to print it, while others allow you to show it on your phone.
Each ticket is valid for the ticket holder and one additional guest. It does not cover special experiences, special exhibits, or parking. Additional terms and conditions apply.
