Kroger and Shell Fuel Rewards Program and $50 Gift Card Giveaway!

If you shop at Kroger, you probably know that you can earn fuel points when you shop to save at the pump when filling up at Kroger fuel centers.  Well, Kroger has expanded this program and has partnered with more than 400 participating Shell locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area!

So, if you are like me, and your Kroger does not offer a fuel center, you no longer have to miss out on the gas savings!

There are three ways to earn Points in Kroger stores:

  1. Spending on Groceries (normal exclusions apply): $100 in Groceries = 100 Points
  2. Non-federally funded Prescriptions: 2 Prescriptions = 100 Points
  3. Double Gift Card Points (normal exclusions apply): $50 in Gift Cards = 100 Points

Fuel Points are automatically added to your Kroger Plus Card account and you can see how many points you earn at the bottom of your grocery receipt. You can also track your points online on your “My Kroger” page.

Just make sure to use your Fuel Points during the month you earn them or by the end of the following calendar month. You can redeem 100 points and save 10¢ per gallon on up to 35 gallons of fuel. To redeem your points, just scan your Kroger Plus Card at the pump, manually enter your card number, or enter your alternate ID.  You can learn more about the Kroger Fuel Program HERE.

    I use our fuel points all the time since I actually pass a Kroger on the way to work and since my dry cleaners is in the same shopping center! Looking forward to seeing how the Shell program works.

    We use our kroger card all the time!! Even though we don’t accumulate 100 points a month that often saving (no matter the amount) is a saving!

    Kroger is my number one weekly grocery store because of the value that I find in the aisles. The fuel link up with shell made me so happy because I do not have a Kroger fueling station near my home. We’re a Kroger family though, my mom refuses to get gas without her Kroger points and I have a pinpoint map with my nearest Shell stations in the car!

    We have no Kroger fuel center nearby and by the time we drive to the closest one, we have wasted a lot of our savings. So the Shell partnership will certainly be a good thing for us. There are several Shell stations in our area. However, how will we know which are “participating” stations?

    I won’t go to any other station but Kroger. My husband doesn’t like it because he has to use “two” cards. I say it’s worth 10 cents a gallon to use my Kroger card. We have a Shell real close that I can start using, too.

    I used the Kroger Fuel Points Program to fill up on Monday. Ralphs (a Kroger brand) is my main store and there’s two Shell stations nearby.

    I use the Kroger/Shell partnership occassionally (there’s a more convenient gas station for me than the Shell) but there’s a special promo here right now that gives “up to” $1 off each gallon, and I got the $1 off yesterday – Yay!!! Even with my tiny car and it’s tiny gas tank, I saved over $11.

    I just heard about this, and I think its great. I used this program more when the Kroger in my old neighborhood had a station. The Kroger by me now doesn’t, so this is great…I shop there, but don’t use the points…

    I love the fuel points program. I usually get 50 cents/off gallon. I have an SUV so it saves me a ton of money, which everyone can use these days. We have a brand new Kroger with a fueling station opening 2 miles form my house, so it just became even more convient!! Kroger is my main source for gas….who can afford to go else where!!!

    I have used the Kroger filling stations a handful of times before. My suburb doesn’t have any, so it took some effort to save those few cents per gallon. If they partner with Shell, it will be much much easier!

    Yes, I DO in fact use the Kroger fuel savings, but usually not at Kroger itself as they don’t have a fuel center by us. They teamed up with affiliate Loaf and Jug so I use my savings there!

    I have used it once but that was it. My Kroger doesn’t have a gas station so I have to drive a different direction for it. That would be fine if they did it like some other stores out east do where you can stack the discount (like if you have 200 points, you can get $.20 off per gallon instead of having to use $.10 off twice). With Shell now included, I will probably take advantage of it more since there are Shells all over. 🙂

    I heard about the pilot program in Ohio for this last spring. It is exciting to hear that has reached Dallas-Fort Worth. I can’t wait for it to come to Houston. I can only use my fuel points if I go out of my way to a different Kroger, but we fill up almost every time at the Shell station up the street. Do you know if the Shell stations are getting new pumps or just new software? Are there some Shell stations that are not participating?

    I use the kroger fuel center almost weekly for our gas. I like the 0.03 discount every time I use my kroger card. I ocassionally have the points to get the 0.10 off/gal and try to combine it with a low price on gas. For me, it is convenient to go to Kroger for gas b/c I’m usually there shopping for food.
