It was easy for me to STACK my coupons b/c I spoke to about 4 of my neighbors and they all give me their coupon inserts. I also buy the sunday paper. Soon, I won't need to.
I want to thank you for this website b/c it really is going to make a HUGE DIFFERENCE in my life financially. My husband I were spending on average $300 on groceries a month. Now that am a stay-at-home mom, we need to save in every area of our budget that we can.
Thank you so much! You make couponing and saving money less daunting and time consuming!!
@Haddy, WOW! You did awesome! Thanks so much for sharing your shopping trip and your kind comment! I'm so glad that you are benefiting from couponing!!
Wow! I have learned so much from this site! My husband and i started couponing this month and already we have stocked up on canned goods, frozen veggies, and meat. I never realized how much you could save by combining sales with coupons. I wish I would have had that cheese coupon tho! Thanks for all the great tips ladies!
@Louise, Louise, if you want to stock up on cheese, the megabuy will be good through Feb. 5. There's just enough time to use a coupon clipping service (couponclippers.com I think) to order and make haste to Kroger to stock up. That's where we are making the biggest impact here. I have us stocked with a year's worth of free toothpaste, soap, antiperspirant, and body wash already from the kroger P&G and other megacheap items from January. I got a bunch of the Steralite storage tubs at Wal-mart after Christmas for $4 to make storing all these items nicely organized. Perfect Planning leads to perfectly productive stockpiles! Good Luck!
@Louise, Yay! Glad to hear you are saving some money!
Don't forget to visit Tom Thumb for a big coupon book w/tons of manufacter coupons, many items that are on sale at kroger!
@m, Thanks for the tip!
@m, Great point! I just discovered a $2 off 2 Hebrew National hot dogs, which makes them $1.49 after mega saving and q.
I was on the Kroger website doing the sweepstakes thing previously mentioned and found a link to the complete list of participating MegaBuy items. http://www.softcoin.com/com/softcoin/wicket/sites/sid_5670/GameDayList.pdf
I sometimes can also find a little shelf hanger with these list, but never can find them on the web. Pleased to find this list, in case I'm floundering for "just one more item" to get to 10".
@Misty Mc, Thanks for the list!!
@Misty Mc, lol they have pickles under "meat"
Oh and just a heads up, spinach and potatoes (2 different cuts) were included in the $.26 Del Monte. Usually just corn, green beans, and peas are included when they do good sale so it was awesome. And I had a coupon from a Kroger mailer for $.75/3. I ended up getting more than 3 to donate to a canned food drive at my son's school but if I had bought just 3 they would have been $.01 each :D
Woohoo I had a great time today! I got 55 items (50 of them were mega event items, the others were sandwich rolls, 2 bags of grapes, a pack of yogurt, and a bag of wheat gluten) for $18 and change. And that didn't include the $.09 Rotel (forgot those coupons so I will go back another day to get 6 cans of them and 4 Propel). My store had peelies on the Propel for $1/2 which made them FREE! My store is pretty against taking more than one of the same coupon usually (depending on who you get) so I have to mix them up but I did get 4 Propel for free today. And the 2% singles were part of the sale so they were free :D
About the Honest tea, I was able to print them but my dad told me that he didn't even try to print them because it apparently said that they don't support IE 8 which is what he has. That may be your problem.
@Rae, WOW!!! Great job! I'll have to look for those Propel peelies when I go!
I had a great week there too! I got 4 packs of Carefree pantiliners, 4 packs of the 2% Kraft singles, 2 Sierra Mist 2L bottles, 2 Yakisoba meals, and 12 cans of Rotel for free along with lots of other great deals.
BTW, the Carefree pantiliners were regular price at $1. There are many $.50/1 coupons out there for any Carefree product.
@Ashley, You know what's sad, I keep forgetting to get the Carefree every time I go even today when I had the coupons in my Kroger section with the others to use today! I don't know how I keep forgetting to actually get the product lol
@Ashley, That is great! Thanks for the Carefree tip!
Love, Love , Love Kroger this week.. bought 30 items and spent less than 7 bucks!
@Candice, WooHoo! That's awesome!
I switched to Internet Explorer and still cannot print the Honest Tea. I ended up sending them an email saying that I cannot print their coupon...let's see what happens.
Please share your list, if u don't mind!! Would be a great example for use 'newbies'
I have a question to make sure I am doing this right.
Kroger has wolf brand chili for 10/$10. I have a coupon that says save $.60 on any 3 cans of chili.
Does this mean that I can buy 3 cans for $1 and save $.60 on each can making my total for all three cans with savings $1.20.
Or is it just $.60 off the total of three cans, making a total with savings $2.40.
I hope this makes sense. I am really trying to learn this couponing stuff.
@Christina, It means you will save $0.60 total. So, if you buy 3 cans @ $1 each, after coupon you will pay $2.40 for all 3 cans.
