I'm glad I found this blog. The ones I normally follow don't do Kroger and if they do, it's not this region so the deals don't match up (plus they don't double/triple the same way). So thank you for the great matchups :)
I have also gotten about 3 Kroger mailers w/ coupons lately but mine were different (2 out of the 3 were customized ones). I highly recommend connecting your address to your kroger account if it is not already. The customized ones are my favorite because they usually have free item coupons. This past batch I got a free 6 pack of Dannon yogurt, bottle of Dial soap, box of Frosted Flakes, and bottle of Kraft dressing. I have also gotten free eggs and lettuce before too. And the $ off ones are usually things that will go on sale or things that go on manager markdown a lot (like dairy). Go here to make sure your card number is attached to your address: https://customer.kroger.com/ProfileSummary.aspx
@Rae, I keep meaning to post about this! I get the personalized coupon mailers and I LOVE them! Thanks for the link to the sign up page, I wasn't sure where that was.
Thanks to your blog I did awesome at Kroger today! Total before coupons was 212.84 and after was 96.73. Even got shrimp and steaks for Valentine's Day!
Wanted to mention another Catalina deal. Kellogg's is offering between 2/10 and 3/10:
buy (3) get $1.00
buy (4) get $3.00
buy (5) or more & get $4.00 ... coupon off your next shopping order.
Participating products:
Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Fruit Loops, Corn Pops, Cocoa Krispies, and Honey Smacks-- 10 oz. or larger on all.
You can get some great cereal deals when used in combination with coupons.
@Kelli, That is awesome!!! Thanks for the catalina tip too! :)
I don't know if Kroger does the same thing, but registered Dillons card members get coupons in the mail. I got three different sets of coupons in the last few weeks (all expire in April). In the latest one, all the coupons were for items included in the Daytona Buy 10 deal. Here are some of the coupons.
$1 off 5 chef boyardee
$1 off 2 breyers ice cream
$1 off one hefty product
$1 off two poptarts
75cents off two hot pockets
75 cents off two ragu pasta sauce
$1 off two fritos and/or cheetos
$1 off three campbells chunky soup
$1 off one kroger salad dressing
$1 off 4 coca-cola products 12-pack
$1.25 off 2 pizza rolls
coupons I had received earlier from Dillons that match with this deal:
75cents on 1 banquet boneless chicken
$1 on 5 gatorade
other coupons from Dillons (not part of the buy 10 deal)
$1.50 off one kroger frozen boneless skinless chicken breast/tenderloins
save $3 when you spend $15 in the frozen department
save $7 when you spend $70 in one transaction (before tax)
@Tracy, Wow, those are great coupons! I don't think I got those, but I'll be on the lookout! Thanks!
I'm new to this. I LOVE your blog. I've literally devoured it.
I noticed this week in our Kroger ad, there's a BOGO for Tennessee Pride sausage. I also found in the Red Plum 1/25/10 a $1.00 off ANY Tennessee Pride product.
Quick question: Can I use two coupons with the BOGO offer, or is it more ethical to use only one?
Thanks!
@Free Spirit, Yes, you can use one coupon on each sausage you purchase, regardless of whether it is priced $0 or not. :)
What exactly is the "Catalina Deal?"
@Kelli, It is the machine that spits out coupons off your next purchase and sometimes just regular $ off coupons. It's called catalina deals because that's the name of the company that does the machines. They are the same thing that spit out register rewards at Walgreens. If a catalina deal is mentioned on a matchup blog like this, they are usually referring to a current promotion where you buy X amount of X product in the same order and you'll get a coupon for $X that you can use on your next order of anything. They are usually good for 2 weeks.
@Rae, Thanks so much for chiming in! Sometimes I don't get to answer questions as timely as I would like, so I really appreciate when readers help each other out!
@Rae, Thanks Rae!! I get it now and I did great at Kroger today! "I got $10.00 in Catalina Deals." I have 4 kids and I don't think I could feed my family without coupons! Couponing101 is a big help!
@Rae, How do you find out what the deals are? The catalina prints them out once in awhile. It will say "not a redeemable coupon" and it explains the deal. Is there any other way to find out the deals ahead of time? By the way, I have one for Kraft ranch or Italian salad dressing (2/5-2/28) buy 2, get $1 OFO; buy 3 get $2 OFO, buy 4 get $3 OFO. (This is from Dillons in my area, but should be the same as Kroger)
@Tracy, For me, I keep an eye out on moneysaving blogs like this one, moneysavingmom, swaggrabber, etc. The cat deals are usually posted somewhere and I usually write them down somewhere just in case that item ends up going on sale and a particular blogger did not know about it or forgot. With so many readers, the bloggers usually know most of the current cat deals since a reader will leave a comment or email when they have info print out at the store. :) I LOVE the Purex and Pilsbury ones in particular that are going on now.
