I'll tell you, the Black Friday FB thing was a free-for-all! I was online well before it started, but it was hard to know where to go and what to do. You were expected to get a code, immediately attempt to purchase the item, and the code couldn't be claimed until the purchase was final, so there was a chance of not being allowed to use it. I believe Lowe's has apologized for the frenzy, and is promising to "make things right" for the many people, like me, who were online trying to participate, but couldn't get through...we'll see! :)
@April, It was crazy!! I thought I was pretty prepared but I guess I was just not fast enough! Ah, oh well. Their fb page said they are going to try to make up for the craziness.
@April, I stayed up late for that, too. It was crazy. I had the mixer in my cart, but the checkout never got past applying the promo code for me.
I was bummed, but didn't really expect to be one of the first 100 anyway with all the traffic. There were thousands of people posting comments on fb.
@Jody in Forney, I didn't get one either and am a little bummed, but I didn't really expect to either. thousands of people and only 100 mixers = not good odds!
