National Public Gardens Week is May 13-19, 2019! During this event, you can get into public gardens around the country for special rates or even for free. Certain gardens will also host special events and offer discounted memberships.
National Public Gardens Day was created in 2009 to enrich communities and drive environmental consciousness. After ten successful years of the one-day celebration, the American Public Gardens Association is taking it to the next level by dedicating a whole week to the cause.
If you have children in your life, take this opportunity to teach them about the importance of environmental responsibility! It’s also a great excuse for adults without kids to spend a day outside.
Whether you go with family, friends or just yourself, don’t miss out on discounted admission to your local public garden. As someone who spends a lot of time in front of the computer every day, I could definitely use some fresh air!
See what public gardens are hosting events or offering admission specials near you by visiting the National Public Gardens Week events page.
