With Christmas only one week away, many of you may be like me and panicking over all the last minute details for gifts, parties, and food. As much as I plan and plan and plan, I almost always wind up running to the store for something at the last minute!
We usually end up hosting one or two Christmas events each year, and one thing I’ve learned over the years is to simplify. While I do love a beautiful ham dinner with all the fixin’s, I’ve found that I’d much rather relax, serve something easier, and spend time with my family instead of in the kitchen.
There are several ways to accomplish a laid-back dinner. You could have a potluck and ask everyone to bring a dish to share. You could make it a themed dinner (like Mexican or Italian), a snacks and appetizers feast, or go ahead and plan your ham dinner and assign everyone a specific dish to bring.
No matter how you decide to do it, remember that Christmas won’t be ruined if you don’t remember to make your signature chocolate pie or if you overcook the ham.
If you are worried about disasters in the kitchen, it might be a good idea to have “back up food” in the freezer. You could prepare a couple of casseroles or appetizers and freeze them ahead of time. You can also buy prepared food from the store that will be a breeze to heat up in a hurry.
No need to spend a fortune either, you can print this high-value $2 Jose Ole Printable Coupon that can be used on frozen mini tacos, quesadillas, or taquitos. Perfect if you’re having a Mexican food-themed potluck!
Plus, for every coupon downloaded, Jose Ole will match it by donating $2 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals! They are already well on their way to a donation goal of $100,000!
I just love when using coupons has benefits beyond saving money!
To get your coupon, just head over to Facebook, “like” the Jose Ole Facebook page, and click the purple “print coupon” button or just click on the banner below. The coupon will expire 30 days after printing.
Now that you’ve simplified your meals, you can relax and look forward to enjoying a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones.
Hopefully your holiday events will be stress-free and full of family fun – no matter what you cook!
