Stamp Out Hunger May 9th

Did you know that 35 million Americans are hungry or living on the brink of hunger?  On Saturday, May 9th, you can donate food to help combat hunger right here in the US.

How to help:

  1. Contact your local post office to verify its participation in the food drive. ( Search the USPS website for the contact information for your local post office.)
  2. Place bags filled with non-perishable food items next to your mailbox.
  3. Your letter carrier will pick them up and deliver them to local food banks!

Suggested donations include canned meat and fish, canned soup, pasta, juice, canned vegetables, cereal and rice. They ask that you do not include items that have expired or are in glass containers.

As a couponer, I always have tons of extra food in my pantry.  It is such a great feeling to know my family has plenty of food to eat, and it is even more rewarding to be able to give generously to others.  Couponing has not only blessed my family, but others as well.

I challenge you – how many people can you bless by putting your couponing skills to work?
