It seems like everyone’s answer to the COVID-19 stay at home orders is to Netflix and chill. Streaming services may be your go-to break from reality, but all those subscriptions can get pricey. If you want to stream some awesome shows for free, check out the PBS Video App.
The programming on PBS tends to focus on news, culture, and education, so it can be an excellent choice for families who are spending more time at home. You can enjoy programs like “Antiques Roadshow,” “American Experience,” “Live From Lincoln Center,” “Nature,” “NOVA,” and more.
The app is free to download, and many videos are also free. Some programs (especially the channel’s more popular shows, like “The Great British Baking Show” and “Downton Abbey”) are restricted to PBS Passport members, which requires a financial contribution. These videos are marked with a symbol in the top corner.
