This week I went to Sunflower Market, CVS, and……Sprouts! Finally!
Total Spent: $59.17
Total Saved: $26.93 (31%)*
*Sprouts does not calculate store savings on the receipt, so I have no idea how much I saved there aside from the coupons used!
I am so glad you guys convinced me to check out Sprouts – it’s great!! Plus, I found some markdowns! I am currently a little obsessed with markdowns, so Sprouts won me over with their marked down yogurt! I found 32 oz Stonyfield yogurt and YoKids Squeezers for $0.99! My kids were thrilled!
I’m also happy about the Kashi Pizzas. I used my $2/1 Recyclebank coupons at Sunflower Market to get them for $3.99. These make great quick lunches for us!
I love all the great produce deals this week too! Asparagus was on sale for $1.47/lb at Sunflower Market – it’s our favorite green veggie! Some of my other great deals were the the $0.77 cantaloupe, $0.99/lb apples, $0.99/lb tangelos, and $3.97/lb cod fillets!
I hadn’t planned to go to CVS this week but it was right by Sprouts and I wanted to use my free drink/candy coupon. While there, I scanned my card and got a $1/1 Kellogg’s cereal coupon which I used to get a free cup of cereal.
I also got a couple of Amazon orders this week. We got a jug of Coombs Family Farms Organic Maple Syrup for $16.83 (this exact same jug sells for $35 at Central Market!) and 6 packages of Newman-O’s Cookies for $10.27 (I’m going to try really hard not to eat them all at once!! They are so yummy!!). I paid for it all using Amazon gift cards that I earned from Swag Bucks.

Don't forget to pick up a coupon booklet when you checkout (by the bagging area). They usually have some good savings (like $1 off Udi's bread, etc).
@andy, Ah, I didn't see that when I went but I'll be sure to check next time, thanks!
Sign up for their newsletter and they will send you a coupon about once a month. This month is a free SoyJoy bar. Last month was an organic chocolate bar. They also had one for a Think Thin bar which are actually really good for a healthy bar!!!
@Jenny B, Thanks for the tip - I'll do that!
@Jenny B, I got one in the mail or email every month for the first 6 or so months but I haven't gotten one in MONTHS. I wonder if they only do it for a certain amount of time? I have it go to an email that I don't get junk at so I look at every message including the spam folder and haven't gotten anything from them in a long time. I "updated" my info online a few days ago. It's all the same info but I hope visiting the site and "updating" will put me back on their coupon list lol. I got some great ones when I was getting them... bottle of tea, 32 oz yogurt, 1/2 gallon soy milk, etc.
haha I TOLD you that you should be going to Sprouts :P I don't even eat organic stuff (unless I'm getting it just as cheap as regular) and LOVE that store. There are usually at least 3 items per week that are cheaper there than anywhere else and we like fresh produce :) I haven't noticed a ton of markdowns there I actually find more markdowns on the natural/organic markdown rack in Kroger than I do in Sprouts but that is awesome that you found some good deals. :D
@Rae, Yes, I love it now!! I don't know how often I'll go (it's a bit further than I'd like to drive) but I will definitely be going again!
@Stephanie, Maybe if it is a farther drive you can go every other Wednesday (double ad day) and get the items from both weeks that day but only having to go every 2 weeks. One tip about that is to go earlier in the day though. Wednesday afternoon/evening is crazy busy at ours at least.
wow! You did really well. I have been averaging $25-30 at sprouts power week. I mostly buy produce and bulk items, but Amy's sent me some coupons so I have been trying to wait for sales so I can do matchups. I applaud your efforts to go green and sharing with us.
