I went back to Target today and tried again. I got a very nice cashier who took the coupons, although I did notice that they did come up with an error, but he just ok’d it (I think it was not recognizing the product, even though I bought the basic candy land and two memory games). I’m just glad I was able to get them!!

I used this deal for Chutes and Ladders and Cooties… and it worked just fine. I also used the coupons (in the same circular and on the Target sight) for Hasboro games. There is a promotion at Target where if you buy any Hasboro game for $10 or more, you get a free card game (ie. Scrabble Slam, Clue, or Trouble), a $6.49 value. The Bop It XT (a Hasboro game) is on sale for $15 from $25. So with the $5 manufacturer coupon and the $5 target coupon, you can get the Bop It XT and a card game (free), for just $5. I also got a similar deal on Battleship, paying just $4 for Battleship and a card game. Thanks for directing me to these awesome deals!

I don’t know either! She didn’t even try to scan it or anything- just looked at her associate and said, “See, this is the coupon I was talking about.” I emailed Hasbro about it, I’ll let you know what they say.

That is so strange, Mary! They’re definitely valid coupons. Very very weird. Sorry you ran into that. I’m not sure what the deal is.

I just got back from Target and the cashier refused to take my manufacturer’s coupon for memory/candyland. She said she got an email from corporate that it is a fraudulent coupon. Anyone else encounter this?? BTW- was able to use several other hasbro coupons (e.g., baby alive) from the same site as the candyland one…
