  1. Haribo Gummi Twin Cherries 4 oz. bags are for sale 2 for $2. I printed out 2 Haribo coupons for 30 cents off one 4 oz. bag so I got the bags for 70 cents each. Today was the first time I tried them and they were awesome. I kept myself from consuming the whole bag. They’re fatfree so I didn’t feel guilty eating a portion. Plus, they’re Haribo so they’re the best gummi candy out there. They’re probably now my favorite nonfat candy next to Red Vines.

  2. Try finding a cashier at the beauty counter – when there’s not a line, the cashier’s are usually very helpful. At my Walgreen’s, I’ve gotten to know my cashier over the past couple months and because she knows we do a lot of donations to our local food bank, she will do 20+ transactions for me, if that’s what it takes, AND she even suggests how to pair transactions to get the most mileage out of the register rewards to reduce my out of pocket.

  4. I’m going to Walgreens tonight for my first couponing trip!
Can someone please clarify the following for me:
    1. Naturemade vitamins are on sale buy 1 get 1 free.. I have 2 coupons each for several of the vitamins, can I use both coupons since I am technically buying 2 bottles of vitamins?
    2. Old Spice is on sale for buy 1 get one 50% off, I have two coupons for buy one get one free on Old Spice PLUS I have two coupons for $1 off the purchase of any 2 Old Spice. Can I use all 4 coupons? What is the best way to do this??

  5. I really want to do the Nivea body wash but I do not see the coupon anywhere in my 6/5 RP insert. Can someone point me to where it may be? Is it possible that it isn’t included in my region? I live in South Florida

  6. I noticed that my couponing experience at Walgreens usually depends on the cashier!! If the cashier knows what their doing everything goes smoothly and acording to plan but if they don’t know or they just don’t want to do it for me they end up confusing me amd makimg me feel loke I’m wrong! Not until I get home I realize I was right… Ugh!!!!

    • @Shanty,
That’s what happened to me when I visited Walgreen at my city, Artesia, Ca. The cashier and the manager seem to be not the helpful kind. I was told that I had a problem with such little money involved. I am doing this couponing to save money in this economy. And the transactions I did was all messed up because the cashier just won’t do it and she seems to not know the sale items.
      What a ????

  7. I have such a hard time with Walgreens. You can only use as many coupons and RRs as you have items. So if I have a $10 RR fromlast week and I want to buy the 3 Tides and use my 3 coupons I have to find s 4th item to odder the transaction. At CVS the keep 39 cent candies by the register. Has anybody found a simular cheep item in Walgreens?

  8. Hi! For the “buy $10, get $3 in RR” Laundry care deal, I bought 3
10-packs of Tide stain release for $3.99 each, used 3 $3/1 Tide stain release coupons from 6/5 P&G, paid $2.97 OOP and got $3 back..
made all three packs free! This works on the 20 oz liquid Tide stain release too.

  9. I couldn’t do the Gillette $30 get $10 RR. My Walgreens said that I had to pay $30 OOP in order to get the RR. Oh well, they had Charmin TP 9 roll pack for $1.49 – great buy~

    • @mikki, Your clerk is on a special crack. I used the gillette razor and a few other products and got both RRs. The one for the razor itself and the $30 buy. You should just tell them to ring it and see.

      Reply

      • They did ring it and the cashier called the manager at my request. The manager was the one who told me that I had to spend $30 OOP in order to get the RR. Oh well, Walgreens is a tough one to figure out….

        Reply

        • @mikki, The problem was with your cashier/manager, but also probably with what you bought. You never have to spend OOP the amount for a Catalina, it just isn’t how it works. The cashier and manager were misinformed and it isn’t their fault because coupon policies are confusing. You had to buy $30 retail, without tax of the right items. (they are marked on the shelf) The small travel sizes were not included and some of the Gillette products were also not included (their regular shave gel, while the orange pro-glide gel WAS included). I hope all this information helps.

        • Now that is a possibility – I wanted to buy 8 body washes, but they only had 5 so I used shave gel to get to my $30 total. I don’t remember which shave get I tried to buy but it was probably the wrong one. That still seems like a rip-off since the ad just said $30 worth of Gillette products. Why wouldn’t all of their products qualify. And the manager should have been able to tell me that. As it was I didn’t buy any of it. It messed up my whole game plan that day – just when I thought that I was figuring Walgreen’s out. 🙁

    • @mikki,
Rite Aid had the same deal and the Old Spice and Gillete is on sale for 2/7.00$. I used the P&G coupons from June booklet and got 4 Old Spice deodorants and got the 4 body washes for free then I bought 1 Gillete deodorant and used the 1$ off coupon from the same booklet. It put me right over the 30$. Two of the deodorants had a bonus body spray so I ended up with 11 items for 6$ and some change. If u have a Rite Aid around you should check out their ad. They run alot of the same deals and usually one of the two stores have a better deal. I’m new to couponing but it is horrible when I have a bad experience with a cashier. I’m just trying to save some money not cause trouble. If u have extra coupons it might be worth your while to check out Rite Aid.

      • Unfortunately we have no RiteAid and no CVS, just 2 Walgreen’s. I should have tried the other store, but I just figured tht it would be the same. I guess it’s not to late, maybe I will try it today.
Thanks to everyone for your replies – maybe I won’t give up on Walgreens just yet. One more question – what TIME can you start shopping Sunday’s specials? Do the sales start at midnight? I swear someone in my community must be shopping in the middle of the night because I get to my store early on Sunday and the good deals are always gone already.

        • @mikki,
Does your store stay open 24hrs a day? If it does they probably do start at midnite. I also think that the store doesn’t order very much of the good deals.

  10. I am new at using coupons at Walgreen’s although so far the store in Athens has been very patient & I am thankful. I do have 2 Q’s:
    1. I have a Caterpillar discount card & on one of my visits the Cat discounts changed the store price so I got some RR as advertised & then on some other items I did not receive the rewards – are the RR’s affected by the cash register price before or after coupons/discounts..??..
    2. This week (6/5 P&G) has a B1G1 free for Old Spice products & a $1/2 coupon – since I will be buying 2 actual products (say 2 deodorants) can I use both Manf coupons..??..

    Awesome web-site..!!.. especially for Coupon-Dads…
