I ended up misreading my coupon and thought it was $3/1 product so I bought a HE product and left with it for free. Not sure how it rang up that way. Any ideas?

You didn’t misread the coupon; the coupon was worded strangely this time, which makes it a great deal for couponers.
The coupon I have says “Save $3 on one when you buy one” – it does NOT say, for example “Save $3 on one when you buy another”, or “Buy one and get $3 off the next”.
So, anyone should be able to user one of theses coupons and buy one product, or be able to use two of these on two products, with no problem.

On the $3 off Herbal Essences or Aussie wyb coupon, I was able to stack 2 of that coupon to get both of my Aussie stylers free.
Also at my Walgreens, the Oral B Advantage toothbrush is $1, instead of the $2.99 it’s listed for here, which amounts to an even better deal on those!

The coupon is for $3 off a styler when you buy ANY Aussie or HE product. Most of those products are on sale for $3. So for example if you buy a mousse and a hairspray. You can use one $3 off coupon on the mousse because you’re buying a hairspray, and you use the other $3 on the hairspray because you’re buying the mousse. Both items on sale for $3, 2 $3/off coupons. =)

@Crystal, Sorry, but you can only use ONE $3 off coupon for each set of 2 products you buy. It is essentially a $3 off 2 coupon and applies to both products, so you cannot use another coupon on either item.

I guess this comes down to one of those ethics scenarios. I saw the coupon as $3 off one when you buy the other (which is what the coupon plainly says, not $3 off 2). I did successfully use 2 coupons on one purchase to get both items free, so to each his own, I guess.
